West Coast Composer/Vocalist/Bassist /Percussionist Alfredo Rubalcava presents a program of originals and arrangements on his new CD for Rhombus Records, "Heart Of The Warrior".

Alfredo was an original member of the famous East Los Angeles Latin Rock group Tierra and has been a fixture in the Los Angeles music scene since the 70's. Joined by ace L.A. musicians featuring Leon Bisquera-Keyboards/Programming, Joe Calderon-Guitar and Bobby Rodriguez-on Trumpet. Alfredo and band create a style of Latin, Rock, Pop, and Jazz that is all their own.

The highlights of "Heart Of The Warrior" are arrangements of two Beatles' tunes, "I'll Be Back" and "There's a Place" along with their own high-energy original, "Personal War".

Guitarist/ Composer Joe Gaeta and Pianist/ Composer Cengiz Yaltkaya showcase a set of Straight Ahead Jazz standards and originals as a duo on their new CD for Rhombus Records, "Almost Real".

Joe and Cengiz perform the standards "Besame Mucho", "Down Here On The Ground", "Del Sasser", "Jingles", and "Theodora", an original by Cengiz, "Dustin' Away", and the rest of the set are originals by Joe including "Song For Autumn" with a special guest appearance by Cathy Segal Garcia on vocals—who also contributed the lyrics for the song. Joe and Cengiz have lenghty recording credits both as leader and sideman, but have now come together to give everyone a special duo performance of their style of Jazz on "Almost Real".

Los Angeles based studio Percussionist/ Mallet player Brad Dutz presents two new CDs on Rhombus Records, "When Manatees Attack", and "Nine Gardeners Named Ned". Brad credits are too numerous to list here, needless to say he has "played with everybody" including Rhombus Records President Thom Teresi on his CD "Street Smart".

On "When Manatees Attack" Brad showcases a group featuring Paul Sherman, Oboe and English Horn, James Sullivan, Bass and G Clarinet, Rachel Arnold, Cello, and Brad on Percussion and Mallets. The music would best be described as "Ambient”.
